Statement
I take great liberties with my subject, and often enlarge or change human form, trees or shapes to achieve an impressionistic effect. I use color and shape more than drawing in most of my work. I feel an artist`s work should have an elusiveness, which entices the viewer to look, whether the painting is abstract or representational. The presentation of the subject matter is all important and I hope my work is individualistic and interesting. I do not limit myself to one style of painting. The metamorphous occurs from the time the subject first interest me and the completed painting. This is the magic of creating art, a distinctive way of expressing oneself.
Education
Attended public schools in Montgomery and the University of Alabama. Attended art courses at Auburn University of Montgomery and studied under Chas Shannon.
