Artist Statement:

I use color and shape to reflect movement, rhythm, and texture. My paintings usually start with a color idea, the changing light of day and the moods it creates. To me, beauty lies in all of creation. I am often attracted to the intricacies nature. I am moved by the beauty of nature, whether it is my own garden or a far place. Each piece I create is simultaneously an extension of the past, where I have been and what I have learned, and a preview of the future, where I am going. Inspiration and ideas change. Knowledge changes from experience and continuous learning. My artwork is a search for the best way to interpret the ideas that I have about myself and my journey through life. It is about what captures my attention, moves me emotionally, how I see the world.
